OCTOBER 2019 SERVING OPPORTUNITIES for REACHING OUR WORLD LOCALLY
Here are some ways WL individuals, families, Life Groups or an ABF can help showcase God’s love to our community. The global mission of the church begins with our neighbors and friends.
- Fellowship Missions (Warsaw homeless shelter) Saturday, October 19th
WL will host a 6:30 p.m. Pizza and Bingo night for the 25+ residents. No advance preparation needed- just come and enjoy connecting with the residents around a meal, a game, and conversations... (WL will host this monthly evening. Next month’s date is October 19th.) For more info and/or to RSVP to attend contact Pastor Dave at This email address is being protected from spambots. This relational ministry connects one WLGBC person with one of the administrators, teachers, or staff at Jefferson for the purpose of encouragement (notes of encouragement, small gifts, a tangible help, but mostly prayer). To date, a team of 33 men and women from WL have been partnered with the teachers. We are looking for additional WL people to be partnered with the cafeteria, janitorial, support staff, as well as bus drivers. If you would like to be an encouragement partner for one of our Jefferson neighbors, please e-mail Carol Allebach at This email address is being protected from spambots. - A Prayer Team to pray while the classes are held and to pray for voluntary requests from the students that will be forwarded to the Prayer Team. Not necessary to attend the class times/ locations to participate, but welcomed.
- Child Care Workers for Thursday mornings classes at WL from 9:30-11:30 a.m., beginning September 12. In addition to English-speaking childcare workers, we are also in need of a childcare worker who is fluently bilingual in English and Spanish who could help with Spanish translation.
