All Things New exists to provide hope, a fresh start, and freedom for women struggling with various addictions by providing a safe environment and life skills necessary to destroy old habits while fostering dependency on Jesus Christ, who makes all things new.

Beaman Home

(provides shelter, education and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault)

Beaman

Kosciusko County’s emergency shelter for victims of abuse. Trained staff and volunteers annually provide assistance to approximately 1,000 domestic violence victims from Kosciusko, Marshall, and Fulton Counties. More than 50% are children who enter programs with their abused parents. In our Emergency Shelter, we provide temporary shelter, food, clothing and other basic necessities needed by domestic violence victims seeking our assistance.

CCS provides comfort, hope, and resources for neighbors in need, offering programs that educate, support, and equip clients with life skills and self-sufficiency programs. Also offering emergency assistance with food, clothing, transportation and legal assistance.

Crisis Response Team

(WL ministry to share God's compassion with hurting people impacted by natural or man-made disasters)

These teams are deployed to meet needs after domestic and international natural or man-made disasters.  Teams will work in partnership with relief teams sponsored by Encompass (Barb Wooler) and/or World Compassion Network (Tyler Snow).

English as a New Language

ENL is a WL ministry to help our Kosciusko County neighbors learn the English language.  Classes are held September through May.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Tuesdays Evening Class/ 6:30 p.m. - 7:45.p.m. at the Warsaw YMCA.

FAIRLANE Mobile Home Park MINISTRY

(WL’s ministry to our neighbors)

Fairlane

God has opened many doors for us to share His love with the families who live at Fairlane Mobile Home Park.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Picking up kids for SPLASH with the Grace College bus on Wednesday evenings 
  • Thursday afternoon snacks and Bible stories at the Fairlane Community Center    
  • Moms’ tea party  
  • Helping kids with their e-learning for school 
  • Thanksgiving feast  • Easter egg hunt • and more.

Fellowship Missions

(Kosciusko County’s homeless shelter)

Fellowship

FM focuses on the transformation that comes through sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ.  FM programs are not permanent. Residents are required to participate in programs aimed to teach, help and transform. The goal is not merely to provide food and shelter, but to get residents plugged into the community and become self-sustaining members who make meaningful contributions.

WL hosts a Monthly Pizza/Bingo Night: on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. No advance preparation needed- just come and enjoy connecting with the residents around a meal, a game, and conversations.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Kitchen Volunteers Carry-in meals; prepare, serve and clean up breakfast, lunch or dinner; help wash dishes after meals.
    • Frequency: weekly, monthly / Duration: approximately 2 hours
    • Current need: (1/20) breakfast help Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays; lunch &  dinner help on various days throughout the month
  • Childcare Volunteers during bible study and/or program meetings.
    • Frequency: weekly  /  Duration: approximately 30 minutes – 1 hour
  • Catalyst Program Volunteers (Mentor) coming alongside our residents, building a relationship with them, and helping them toward self-reliance as they explore or grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
    • Frequency: weekly  /  Duration: approximately 90 minutes
  • Biblically-based employability skills program-Jobs for Life Volunteers (Champion/Small Group Facilitator; or Class Facilitator)
    • Frequency: Jobs for Life runs in 8-week sessions twice a year. Classes take place on Tuesday and Friday afternoon. Champions serve once or twice weekly.  Facilitators serve once a week or bi-weekly  / Duration: 2 hours
  • Transportation From time to time, residents need transportation assistance. Volunteers who help with this will drive residents to specific appointments and meetings as needed.

Habitat for Humanity RESALE OUTLET STORE

(helping to provide our neighbors with shelter)

Resale

Proceeds from the outlet help to g toward continued efforts of building homes for our neighbors in Kosciusko County who need assistance with shelter.

Volunteer opportunities:

  • Friday or Saturday Stores Hours (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
    • Two volunteer shifts are available:  9 a.m. - 1 p.m. or  1 p.m - 5 p.m
    • Assist with operating cash register – experience in sales helpful
    • Help customers on the general sales floor
    • Help load/unload donations
    • Wednesdays: Anytime from 9 a.m. -  2:30 p.m.

Volunteers help prepare donations to be ready to put out of the saleroom floor.  Cleaning items, testing electronics, sorting items, assembling some new items.

Jefferson Elementary School

2ndWind

Empower

  • 2nd Wind: This relational ministry connects one WLGBC person with one of the administrators, teachers, or staff at Jefferson for the purpose of encouragement (notes of encouragement, small gifts, a tangible help, but mostly prayer). To date, a team of 33 men and women from WL have been partnered with the teachers.

    We are looking for additional WL people to be partnered with the cafeteria, janitorial, support staff, as well as bus drivers.

  • An “Empowering Parents” class is held one evening each month from 6- 7 p.m. to encourage and equip in parenting skills.

Kosciusko County Jail Ministry

(assist with Sunday Morning services or Friday evening Bible studies)

Jail

WL’s Peggy Owens serves as assistant chaplain, leading women’s Bible studies, helping with music for worship services, and simply talking with inmates. The Jail Ministry is not only for those who are incarcerated in the county jail but also includes those who have spent time at Kosciusko County Work Release.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Sunday Mornings – (7:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.) Join  Peggy at the Jail in leading various parts of the weekly Sunday Worship service for female inmates. (three identical services are held back-to-back).  

    Volunteers must be female young adults or older. Only one additional person other than Peggy can serve each week.

  • Friday Evening Bible Study: join Peggy and others leading this Bible study for those who are in the County Work Release program—as well as previously incarcerated men and women who now have found success in life after leaving jail.

Heartline Pregnancy Center

Heartline

Heartline is dedicated to the Christ-centered service of who are involved in unwanted pregnancies seeking to preserve the sanctity of human life. Heartline combats generational and situational poverty through various programs that encourage, educate and equip.

Monthly Gas Cards

(WL’s ministry of engaging with our neighbors who seek assistance with transportation fuel)

GasCard

WL’s ministry on the first Tuesday of each month (1:30-3:30 p.m.).  Meet with citizens in need of vehicle fuel; ask about life, pray with them, provide a gas card.

Room at the Table

(WL’s ministry to foster/adoption families)

Room

Room at the Table is WL’s ministry for foster/adoption families. The Room at the Table FOSTER FAMILY CLOSET is available to any licensed foster or kinship home in the county and is open the second Tuesday of each month from  2- 4 p.m. 

Donations to the Foster Family Closet:

The closet is supported/stocked by a coalition of area churches.

To keep current on supplies needed for the closet. Join the  “Room at the Table” Facebook page. Donations to the closet are accepted at the church.

 Warsaw Community Soup Kitchen

Soup

Periodically WL will be providing and serving the meal for approximately 100 people held weekly on Wednesdays at the Warsaw U.M. Church. 

Volunteer Opportunities:

  •  Purchase and/or  prepare menu item s in advance
  •  Assist a group of 8-10 people to serve the meal from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

 World Compassion Network

Compassion

WCN assist local churches to reach out to their community by providing experience, equipment, and supplies to victims of a disaster. Tyler Snow from WL recently joined the WCN staff as Disaster Relief Coordinator. Watch for updates from him on how to help donate supplies or participate on a relief team.
