WL Life Groups
A Life Group is a gathering of adults who intentionally live life together to engage with God’s Word, grow in godliness, and magnify Christ in the context of an authentic, biblical community.
Centered on the Bible
Everything we do at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church has its foundation in the Bible. Life Groups aren’t traditional “Bible studies” with one person giving a 20-minute devotional. In Life Groups, the leader facilitates a discussion centered around the Bible. This could be a discussion of the Sunday morning message, a book study, or video series. The emphasis in Life Group discussions is applying the truths found in the Bible to our day-to-day lives.
Intentional Care and Discipleship
Our Life Groups care for each other. This includes emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. Everyone in the group is responsible for intentional care, not just the leader.
Live Life Together
Our Life Groups aren’t just about being together during the meetings. You’ll find that being in a Life Group is an opportunity to share life together between meetings. It’s these times that help deepen relationships.
Our Life Groups seek to meet the needs of people outside of the group. This could be through serving in a ministry together either inside the church or outside the church, praying for neighbors’ needs, and inviting new people to come to your group.
Although all groups have the same focus, each group has a slightly different culture. It’s fine for you to try a group for a few meetings. If it isn’t a good fit, then kindly let the group leader know and try another group. We do want you to find a group that you can be committed to.
Most Life Groups meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. There are a few that meet other times to accommodate schedules.
