Why Do We Give?
Generous giving is a spiritual act of worship that expresses love and gratitude to God. All we have comes from God; he owns everything (Psalm 24:1). We simply manage the assets he has entrusted to us with the desire to honor him and accomplish his purposes.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
